How many times have you found that utilities
marked on network plans are not where they should be when you get into the
field? In order to find the leak in a pipe the first thing you need to find is the pipe itself, so we designed a version of the Aquaphon A100 Ground Microphone which is also a pipe locator and tracer. This instrument is called the Aquaphon AF100.The AF100 has all the advantages of the A100 when used as a Ground Microphone, (click here to see the A100), with the added functions of: |

Signal Generators and Accessories |

The technique that the AF100 utilises to locate metallic services is to detect the electromagnetic field that surrounds the service or re-radiated radio signals. To be detectable by the A3-S the service under test must be carrying current or be re-radiating radio signals. If there is no current or no re-radiated radio signals you will not detect the service. It is far safer to generate a signal and trace the consequent electromagnetic field. To produce this signal we provide 2 signal generators |

Pipe Tracing Reels - To Locate Plastic Pipes |
|||
![]() |
Non metallic pipes cannot conduct electromagnetic signals so it is necessary to introduce a fibreglass reel with a conductive core to conduct the electromagnetic signal produced by the signal generator.

Sondes are small electromagnetic signal generators.
Sometimes referred to as mice , they are attached onto the end of the reel and are detected by the receiver |
